6-Cylinder Single Turbo (2015-Present)
The BMW B58 is a turbocharged inline-6 engine that replaced the N55 in 2015. It features a single twin-scroll turbocharger and is widely regarded as one of BMW's best modern engines, known for excellent reliability and significant tuning potential. Also found in the Toyota Supra (A90/A91).
B58 Variants
Note: The B58TU (Technical Update) features a stronger block, improved cooling, and a larger turbocharger. M Performance variants like the M340i and M440i use the B58TU.
